Geek News: Human Centipede 2 Uncut Available in UK and Australia

The sequel to my absolute favourite modern-day horror film, The Human Centipede 2, has finally been released in all its uncut and disturbing glory for the English and Australian masses. Kinda.

Available to rent or buy now via download from Bounty Films – the UK distributor of the two Tom Six features – this is currently the only, ahem, ‘legal’ way that fans in the two countries can see Six’s work as intended.

The Human Centipede 2 was initially banned in both the UK and Australia after their respective film boards deemed the film unsuitable even for its straight to DVD application. Both bans were overturned, but only by a hair’s breadth, when a reluctant version with two minutes and thirty-seven seconds cut was approved, and was released the UK in November with a forthcoming release in February 2012 for Australia.

The sequel focuses on a fanatic of the first film re-enacting and trying to further the experiments of the fictitious Dr. Heiter.

Personally, I’m thrilled. I’ve purposefully held off seeing the movie in hopes that the uncut version would be released, and now it has, well, I know what I’m watching soon.
