Geek News: London – Summer Series 2011 Line-up Announced

Somerset House’s prestigious annual open air concert festival returns from 7 July through to the 17 as announced yesterday to the venues e-mail subscribers.

The line-up this year proves to be just as diverse as those past with seminal indie band Eels kick starting proceeding, with the blues of Imelda May and the soul of Aloe Blacc following in their wake. The big names this year playing the regal courtyard are Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher’s new band Beady Eye and music royalty Blondie.

• Stornoway – Saturday 9 July

• Aloe Blacc – Sunday 10 July

• Imelda May – Monday 11 July

• Beady Eye– Tuesday 12 July

• Blondie – Wednesday 13 July

• Hurts– Thursday 14 July

• Ellie Goulding – Friday 15 July

• Lamb – Saturday 16 July

• My Morning Jacket – Sunday 17 July
