Geek News: Gordon-Levitt in bike crash

Star of the recently released summer blockbuster, “Inception”, Joseph Gordon-Levitt was victim to a bike crash on the set of his new movie.

Filming scenes for “Premium Rush”, an action title set in New York about a bike messenger whose package garners the attention of a dirty NYC cop, Gordon-Levitt in the lead as the messenger, crashed his bike into a taxi this last Sunday.

Sustaining only relatively minor injuries such a a cut on his forearm which required 31 stitches, he wrote on his blog:

“My first real wreck today. Busted through the rear window of a cab. Luckily got my elbows up. Coulda been way worse. No, but it was my fault, I was going too fast.”

Filming continues on the currently slated 2011 release, penned and directed by David Koepp, screenwriter of “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull”, “Angels & Demons” and the third installment of “Men in Black”.

Our staff writer, Dan, managed to snag a pre-release viewing of “Inception”, and you can read his review here.
