10 in 13: Hurtling over hurdles
Week 2 of Couch to 10k has been ridiculously rough for me. Despite giving it a try every day this week, I haven’t been able to make it past 20-ish minutes. I’m not sure what it is about the leap from running 30-second intervals to running 1 minute at a time, but it’s kicking my butt. I warm up okay, and somehow manage to make it through 3 intervals of run 1 minute, walk 4 minutes — and then I get woozy and start feeling really dizzy.
Maybe it’s because I’ve never really run before? I’m fearing I might have to go back and repeat the run 30 seconds, walk 4.5 minutes routine of the first week and then give Week 2 a try next week.
Any tips from people that do a lot of running?
